Our summer road trip has commenced! This morning we woke up on the foggy central California coast in the sleepy beach town of Cayucos. Our first stop was in Carmel and today we are onward to Santa Barbara!
The packing took all week, yet I still overpacked as always. Unfortunately we had car trouble en route, so now we’re jammed into a smaller car with too much stuff. But the most important prep was the the audiobooks. I downloaded Pippi Longstocking, Pete the Cat Favorites, Mercy Watson, and for me and my mom, Sorry I'm Late, I Didn't Want to Come by Jessica Pan.
Here is my weekly roundup of readable links (some of which I hope I'll have time to finish this week!):

We should all have a beginner mindset:
Beth said something similar on her podcast about being a beginner and I really loved it. She learns new things often so she knows what it feels like for kids who are learning how to read.
